CONSTRUCTION SKILLS QUEENSLAND (CSQ)
Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) is an independent, not-for-profit, industry funded body supporting employers, workers, apprentices, trainees and career seekers in the building and construction industry.
CSQ's Apprentice Advance loading gives Queensland's construction apprentices and trainees a valuable edge in the jobs market with free additional training to boost their skills and career prospects.
To be eligible for CSQ funding participants MUST BE:
- a Participant who has the right to work in Australia and is an Eligible Worker or an Unemployed Eligible Worker in Queesland (see definitions below).
and,
MUST NOT BE:
- an employee of an Authority (local councils are acceptable).
- currently enrolled and participating in a Queensland secondary school program (school based Apprentices or Trainees are acceptable).
- a contracted trainer and assessor or an existing worker of an RTO
- funded by an Authority or such other source for delivery of the same Training being undertaken as part of this Program
- seeking Verification of Competency (or Determination of Competency) services under this agereement.
Definitions
An Eligible Worker has the same meaning as the Building and Construction Industry (Portable Long Services Leave) Act 1991 (Qld) as amended from time to time (please click link below):-
An Unemployed Eligible Worker is a person who has been unemployed for a period of not greater than 4 years that would otherwise meet the requirements of an Eligible Worker.
If you think you may meet the eligibility criteria to apply for the CSQ funding, you will need to print and submit the below Keys HR Enrolment form and CSQ Short Course Funding Application form and all supporting documentation as shown on page 2/3 of the application form.
