CONSTRUCTION SKILLS QUEENSLAND (CSQ)
Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) is an independent, not-for-profit, industry funded body supporting employers, workers, apprentices, trainees and career seekers in the building and construction industry.
To be eligible for CSQ Funding participants must be:
- an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
or
a participant who has the right to work in Auatralia on a valid visa prescribed by Construction Skills Queensland and has been employed in the Building and Construction Industry for a period of 6 months or more
and is
- an eligible worker employed in Queensland within the construction Industry
- a self-employed eligible worker in the Queensland Building and Construction Industry
- An unemployed eligible worker in the Queensland Building and Construction industry (unemployed for no longer than 6 months)
MUST NOT BE:
- An employee of any authority (Federal, State Government, state or public authority, authorised to carry out a statutory obligation (except employees of Local councils)
- Be currently enrolled or participating in a Queensland secondary school program
- A contracted trainer or assessor or an existing worker of an RTO
- Already been funded by an Authority or such other source for delivery of the same training being undertaken as part of this program
- Seeking a verification of Competency
- Funded for more than 8 short courses under this program (either in Building Specific and/or Civil Specific) in the same period
- Funded for more than 3 high risk work Units of Compentency in the same program period
